Unfolding the Mockingbird stroller
Whether you need full guidance when it comes to unfolding your brand new Mockingbird stroller frame, or you have it figured but aren't 100% sure you are doing it right. We're here to help you go from stumped to smooth sailing with your stroller.
Easy steps
- Fold the handlebar upwards. You do this by pushing in the two round buttons on either side of the stroller near the handle. (You can choose to leave out this step, but doing this will make it more compact.
- Ensure the stroller canopy is back so they don't prevent the stroller from closing fully.
- The seats must be forward facing. If they aren't you can quickly turn them around so that they are. It's easy with these reversible strollers to change direction of the stroller seat.
- Once ready, simply squeeze the button in the center of the handle and push down. The stroller will fold easily and stands upright by itself.
Note, this can be done with one hand!
How to unfold the Mockingbird stroller
What goes up, must come down! Some people like to keep the stroller up and ready to go as much as possible. It all depends on how much space you have. But to put in a car trunk, you'll need to fold it.
Steps to unfold
- First locate the safety handle on the side of the stroller to release it from its lock.
- Press the same button you did to fold the stroller that is in the center of the handle and lift up.
- The stroller will unfold and click into place.
Using as a double stroller?
The Mockingbird double stroller with it's two toddler seats facing forward can be folded using the same steps as when folding the single stroller.
Are you using the Mockingbird bassinet?
The Mockingbird single stroller and double stroller can be used with bassinets. The bassinet will need to be removed before you fold the stroller. To remove the bassinet you just press
Can I fold the stroller with the car seat attached
Unfortunately not, the size, and shape of car seats mean they do need to be removed. But you can keep the car seat adapter attached. You're surprised aren't you!
This is a great selling point for me. Not having to remove the infant car seat adapters over and over again is a superb move on Mockingbird's part. And less chance of leaving them behind when putting the stroller in the car... speaking from experince there!
